Deep Survival by Laurence Gonzales is about a group of people who climb mount Everest. I choose to read this book because in my science class we talked about the book and watched part of the movie while talking about mountains. After that I wanted to read it but never actually did until a few days ago when I saw it sitting on the counter and remembered it so I decided to read it.
I havent actually started Deep Survival yet but I plan to over the long weekend. I know from parts of the movie and from what I know about the book that not everyone survives the deadly terrain on the mountain but I am also predicting that somthing later in the book goes wrong causing the remaining characters to be trapped on the mountain causing them to have to survive the night hence the name Deep Survival. I also know that at least the main character will survive because otherwise there would be nobody to write the book but I also think that more than just one person will survive.

Pure
Pure is a book about a post-apocalyptic society where tow teenagers, Pressia and Partridge, and eventually meet. In the book there are two different settings, a destroyed city where most people live and a preserved dome where only the most priveledged people made it to beore the apocalypse. Both Pressia an Partridge are very well developed characters that the reader can become very attached to because of this most readers can relate to them and therefore would most likely like the book at least a little bit, but a reader interested in science fiction novels would especially like this book. I personnally would give this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. Succeding this book are two others in the series which I plan on reading next.
The author gave the book a lot of suspense as well. Because there are two main characters of the book both of which are shown in first-person the book most constantly switch between their viewpionts and sometimes even showing a lesser characters viewpoints. The author would often switch between characters right at the climax of the current situation causing the reader to have to read through the next characters view in order to read what happens to the other so the reader always has to and wants to continue to read which more enforces my previuos 5 star rating.
